You can edit the Leases & Legal Docs directly.
First, confirm whether you signed in with your Furnished Finder account or your KeyCheck account, as the editing steps and menu options differ, and some options may not appear on both platforms.
Please note:
- If you've already sent the document for signing, you'll need to cancel the request first before editing.
- Verify the status of your document first, since you can only edit the lease agreement if the status is In progress or Pending Signature in Furnished Finder.
- Complete all lease questions while the document status is In progress.
- In Furnished Finder, Pending Signature status allows landlords to manually edit the document text, including correcting answers or adding additional lease details.
- In KeyCheck, your document status must read Ready to send before you can manually edit the document.
From a Furnished Finder Account
You can edit your document in two ways, depending on what you need to update.
If Your Document is in "In Progress" Status
Use these steps to complete the questions in the document using the questionnaire flow.
Log in to your Furnished Finder Dashboard.
Go to Landlord Tools, then select Leases & Legal Docs.
Click the three-dot menu next to the document, then select Edit.
Click Continue after updating each question in the document.
When you finish, a pop-up window appears: "Your document has been completed. You can send it and sign it."
After completing all questionnaire questions, the document status changes to Pending Signature.
If Your Document is in "Pending Signature" Status
Use these steps to manually edit the document text after the questionnaire is completed.
Log in to your Furnished Finder Dashboard.
Go to Landlord Tools, then select Leases & Legal Docs.
Click the three-dot menu next to the document, then select Sign and send.
Click Other Options.
Select Edit Document.
Make your edits.
Click Done Editing to save your changes.
From Your KeyCheck Account
You can update questionnaire responses and manually edit the document when the status reads "Ready to send."
Log in to your KeyCheck Account.
Go to Docs & Signing.
Choose the document you want to edit.
Click Options, then select Signing Setup from the pop-up menu.
Enter your legal name.
Click Save.
Click Other Options.
Select Edit Document.
Make your edits.
Click Done Editing to save your changes.
