What Is a Tenant Screening Request?

Furnished Finder and KeyCheck partnered with TranUnion SmartMove to offer Tenant Screening services to landlords to help them find the best tenants for their properties. 

When you receive a Tenant Screening Request, it means the landlord is interested in renting their property to you and requires additional information. Your personal information is fully protected and is never shared with third parties.

How it works

  • Landlords initiate the tenant screening process from their Furnished Finder or KeyCheck account.
  • Travelers receive the screening request, pay the $44.99 service fee, and complete the process through their KeyCheck account.
  • Once the screening is complete, both of you can view the screening report results in your respective accounts for up to 60 days.
  • Each request is specific to one landlord, so only you and that landlord can view the results.
    • Travelers can choose to share the same results with other landlords by downloading the report and sending it directly.

What's included in the results?

  • Credit history (via a soft pull that will not impact your credit score)
  • Criminal background
  • Eviction history
