General Guidelines
Furnished Finder fosters trust between Landlords and Travelers through our review platform. Reviews can be written by both the Landlord and the Traveler, which helps our community of users make informed decisions.
Our reviews policy is intended to help ensure the feedback provided through our review system is authentic, trustworthy, and useful to our community. Reviews are most helpful when they are personal and reflect your own experience.
Traveler reviews must be unbiased, contain relevant information reflecting the actual experience of the reviewer during the stay, and follow our Content Policy.
While we expect all users to post reviews that represent their personal experiences and contain accurate information, we generally do not mediate review disputes; rather, we allow individuals to post responses to reviews.
This Reviews Policy applies to all reviews, responses, and related content submitted through the Furnished Finder platform. Furnished Finder reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to interpret, enforce, remove, restrict, or reinstate reviews in accordance with this policy, the Terms and Conditions, and applicable law.
Relevance and Personal Experience
Reviews must be based solely on the reviewer’s first-hand experience during a confirmed booking. Reviews may not include speculation, assumptions, or commentary about events, individuals, or circumstances not directly experienced by the reviewer.
Reviews must provide information that is reasonably useful to future users evaluating a property or counterparty. Reviews should provide relevant information about the user’s experience with the property, the booking process, the landlord, or the traveler. For example, Travelers find it helpful to learn about their interaction with the landlord, the location, property conditions, and amenities, among others.
Reviews should reflect the overall experience, including reasonable efforts made to resolve issues during the stay. Reviews focused solely on issues that were promptly and adequately resolved may be subject to removal or moderation.
Reviews are subject to removal if a traveler fails to arrive or otherwise does not stay at the property. Similarly, the landlord will not be allowed to provide a review about the traveler when a stay does not occur. Furnished Finder may, in its discretion, allow or remove reviews associated with canceled or incomplete stays where circumstances warrant, including platform errors, safety concerns, or legal requirements.
Furnished Finder may remove or restrict reviews relating to alleged criminal activity, emergencies, or safety incidents pending verification or where required to comply with legal or safety obligations.
We encourage reviews to be written soon after a stay is completed.
Inappropriate Content
Prohibited content includes threats of violence, intimidation, harassment, lewdness, curse words, hate speech, or discriminatory language targeting protected characteristics under applicable law, as further described in our Content Policy.
Privacy
Personal identifiable information (PII) is not allowed. Personal identifiable information includes, without limitation, full names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, government-issued identifiers, financial information, images of identification documents, or any information that could reasonably identify an individual.
Demanding Payment, Conflicts of Interest, and Promotional Content
Reviews may not be written about your own property or your friends’ or relatives’ property, nor to harm competition.
Landlords are forbidden from creating or accepting fraudulent bookings for the purposes of writing a review. Reviews and listings violating this policy are subject to removal in accordance with our refund policy.
Reviews may not contain promotional or solicitation material.
Reviews may not attempt to extract payment or the exchange of any value.
Reviews may not be used as leverage to coerce, threaten, or retaliate against another user, including demands for refunds, discounts, or favorable treatment in exchange for the removal, modification, or posting of a review.
All users are strictly prohibited from providing compensation or other incentives conditioned on the writing of consumer reviews that express a particular sentiment, whether positive or negative.
Review Removal and Moderation
Reviews are subject to removal should the content violate this policy or any other part of our Terms and Conditions. Users do not have a contractual or legal right to the removal of a review. Furnished Finder may, but is not obligated to, review removal requests and may request additional information. Decisions regarding review moderation are final.
We take the removal of any review seriously and only do so where there is a clear violation of this policy or our Terms and Conditions. Reviews reflect the opinions and experiences of individual users and do not represent the views of Furnished Finder. Furnished Finder does not independently verify the accuracy of reviews unless required by law.
Furnished Finder may remove, restrict, or reclassify reviews with or without prior notice to the user.
