Notifications let you know about tenant leads, messages, booking inquiries, and account activity. You can choose how you get notified, by email, text, or app, and turn certain notifications on or off.
Notification settings are split into two parts:
Your account: Settings for sign-in, security, billing, and landlord tools. These apply everywhere, no matter which listing you manage.
Your properties: Settings for tenant leads, messages, and booking inquiries. You can manage these separately for each property. If a property has multiple units, you can have different settings for each unit.
How To Update Your Notification Settings
- Log in to your Dashboard.
Go to Account, then select Notification Preferences.
Under Your Account-level notifications, set your email, text, and app preferences for account-wide items like security and billing.
Under Your Property-level notifications, select a listing from the dropdown, then set preferences for tenant leads, messages, and booking inquiries.
Check or uncheck a box to update your preference. Changes save automatically.
If you go to Edit Listing and click Notification Settings, you'll see a message that says "Looking for your notification preferences?" Click the “Click Here” button to go to the Notification Preferences page.
Notifications That Can't Be Turned Off
Sign-in and security notifications, including new sign-ins and password changes.
Email notifications for new messages and direct booking inquiries always stay on. You can still turn text and app notifications for these on or off.
Landlord Tool notifications (tenant screenings, legal documents, damage protection) are sent by email only, and only if you use those products.
Some other notifications may only be available through certain contact methods. For a complete breakdown, see What Notifications Can I Turn On or Off?
Before You Can Get Text Notifications
You need a verified phone number on file. If you see a warning that says your phone number isn't verified, click Verify Phone Number at the top of the Notification Preferences page and follow the steps.
To make sure you receive important updates, keep your Contact Info up to date. If you need help updating it, see Editing Your Contact Information.
