If you purchased a Damage Protection Plan through our former partner, Waivo, your coverage remains in effect through the end of your purchased coverage period.
Beginning May 1, 2026, Furnished Finder will directly support the claims process for these existing plans. Your coverage has not changed and claims will continue to be reviewed according to the original Damage Protection Plan Terms & Conditions.
How to Submit a Claim
Please email waiver@furnishedfinder.com within 7 business days after the tenant has vacated the property with the following information:
Your name and email address
Furnished Finder listing link or property address
Waiver (Damage Protection Plan) number, if available
Tenant name
Lease start and end dates
Date the tenant vacated the property
A description of the damage or loss
The estimated amount of your claim
Please also attach:
A copy of the signed lease or rental agreement
Photos of the damage
Any repair estimates, invoices, receipts, or replacement costs (if available)
For theft claims, a police report is required
If you don't have all supporting documentation when you first contact us, that's okay. Our team will review your submission and let you know if anything else is needed.
What Happens Next?
Once we receive your claim:
- We'll confirm we've received it.
- We'll review your documentation.
- If additional information is needed, we'll contact you by email.
- Once the review is complete, we'll notify you of our decision.
Claim Deadlines
To remain eligible, claims must be submitted within the timeframes outlined in your Damage Protection Plan Terms & Conditions.
