Managing Legal Documents and Leases

To Complete a Pending Document

  1. Log in to your KeyCheck Account.
  2. Go to Docs & Signing and select Options from the dropdown.
  3. Click Edit.
  4. Answer the remaining questions to complete the document.
    • You can use the progress bar to track how much of the document you've completed.
  5. Click Continue until you've answered all remaining questions.

To Customize a Document

  1. Log in to your KeyCheck Account.
  2. Go to Docs & Signing, select Options, and click Signing Setup.
  3. Add your legal name and click Edit Document.
  4. When you're done making changes, click Done Editing.

To Edit a Document

If you have already sent the document for signing, you must cancel the signing request to edit the document.

  1. Log in to your KeyCheck Account.
  2. Go to Docs & Signing and choose the document you want to edit.
  3. Select Options, then click Signing Setup.
  4. Click on Cancel Request, then click Edit Document.
  5. Make your edits, then click Done Editing.
  6. Resend the document.

To Send a Document

  1. Log in to your KeyCheck Account.
  2. Go to Docs & Signing, select Options, and click Signing Setup.
  3. Add your legal name and proceed.
  4. Click Start Signing, add the renter's email address, and click Continue.
  5. Click Send.

The renter will receive an email from Rocket Lawyer with a link to review and sign the document online.

To Delete a Document

  1. Log in to your KeyCheck Account.
  2. Go to Docs & Signing.
  3. Click the trash can icon to delete the document.
  4. Confirm deletion.

Note: Deleting a document does NOT reinstate a document credit to your account.
