Landlords can communicate with prospective tenants through the "Tenant Messages" section of your dashboard. This tool lets you view and respond to messages, use message templates, and add a custom signature to streamline communication.
Accessing Your Messages
Viewing and Responding to Messages
- Click the View icon to open and respond to a message.
- The conversation thread will open, and you can type your message into the text box.
- Alternatively, you can choose a saved message from the "Message Template" dropdown.
- Click Send to deliver your message.
Understanding Message Status Icons
Each message you send includes a small icon at the bottom to indicate its current status:
- Blank circle: Message is currently being sent.
- One checkmark: Message sent.
- Two checkmarks: Message delivered (confirmed on server).
- Blue checkmark: Message read by the recipient.
Message status icons only appear on messages you’ve sent while logged in to your account.
Note: Messages will continue sending in the background even if you leave the messaging screen. When you return, the most up-to-date status will be shown next to each message you sent.
Creating and Managing Message Templates and Signatures
Templates and a consistent signature can help you save time when answering frequent questions or sending common follow-up messages.
To manage templates and signatures:
- Click Add/Edit Message Templates or Add/Edit My Signature from the message response screen.
- In the My Signature section:
- Enter your desired email signature in the text box. This will be automatically added to your future messages.
- In the Message Templates section:
- Enter a Template Name.
- Write your template message in the text box.
- Once you have finished creating or editing your templates and signature, click Save Settings.
